So what if I tell you that I dropped out of High School, but always scored off the charts on any type of IQ test, yet know very well that all that means is that I was very good at IQ tests but can be dumb as a rock at a giant pile of other things that might be a lot more important?

IQ is nearly meaningless. Education levels also: some of the dumbest people I ever met were PhD’s — they knew their doctorate(s), but were helpless fools otherwise.
