Some Settings Changes You Might Want To Make With IOS 16

Some will apply to MacOS Ventura as well

IOS 16 is imminent as I write this, and iPadOS will be right behind it. There are many changes coming and some of these will require a visit to Settings to enable desired behavior.

As we all know, Apple provides a handy list of changes for the Settings app.

Yeah, right. Wouldn’t it be nice if they did? But no, you are on your own to dig through and find out what’s changed. Sad, isn’t it?

Really, though, you might want to go through everything in Settings. Aside from finding new possibilities, you may rediscover older settings that weren’t important to you in the past but have become so now. That has often been true for me.

But if you don’t want to do that, here are a few things I noticed that you might want to look into. If I left out or gave scant attention to one of your favorite new features, I do apologize. Most apply to both IOS and iPadOS, but as iPadOS will be delayed, who knows what it will finally have? For now, I’ve used I*OS to refer to things that seem destined to be in both. Many of these are likely to show up in macOS Ventura, of course.
