I can’t write anything
Seriously. I have a folder full of posts I’ve started but I find I have no interest in turning them into finished products.
Is it depression? I don’t think it’s quite that because I’m able to keep up with housework, shopping, paying the bills, all that. I’m not moping around, I’m happy throughout the day, but the minute I start thinking about writing at Medium, I lose interest. I squeaked out something yesterday, but I am having trouble imagining doing anything tomorrow.
I’m still reading at Medium, though not politics. I skip over those stories now, often not even opening them at all.
I think I’m trying to ignore the reality of Trump. Our unbelievable Supreme Court has given him a literal Get Out of Jail Free card which almost certainly will increase his chances of being elected.
Maybe it’s because I feel like I should be writing about the danger his election will bring. I may feel that, but I can’t do it because it is pointless. People who don’t see that already never will.
I have my head deep in the sand. I think it may stay there a while.
