That’s true, but you have to understand that I was doing troubleshooting, so I’d log in to run some commands to investigate or isolate an issue. I might be there for two minutes or two hours, but I wouldn’t usually be switching away to the Mac gui.

But if I did, so what? Most of the time it wouldn’t matter if I was logged out because I wasn’t doing anything where I needed to maintain state.

I’d be running “screen” to maintain my session, so if I did need to maintain, it was maintained anyway.

So getting kicked out was not an issue.
