The art world is full of nonsense. Critics gush over pure slop and it sells. Thousands of more talented people are ignored.
Pre-COVID, we'd visit the Boston MFA now and then. A few years back they had an entire room dedicated to the works of an "artist" who did nothing but stain wooden planks.
I laughed out loud, which was not appreciated by someone who was stroking their chin while gazing in awe at the "masterpieces".
The Museum of Modern Art in the western part of our state can be even more amusing.
