The New Mac Studio is Not For Me-dio or You-dio
Neither is the Studio Display monitor, but I don’t know who that is for
Apple has come out with a brand new desktop machine. It’s not a Mac Mini, it’s not a iMac, it’s not a Mac Pro. It does not replace any of those machines; they all continue to exist. This new Mac Studio is a machine that stands on its own. Well, two machines: Studio M1 Max and Studio M1 Ultra.
If this were a grade six playground and the kids were the other Apple computers, they’d all be standing bug-eyed and muttering, “holy crap, look at the new kids!”
If this were a law firm and the guys with the ties that cost more than your suit were the other Apple computers, they’d be wondering how they could possibly compete with the new guys.
If this were a group of tech influencers, they’d all be looking at the price tag of the Ultra and saying, “I don’t care, I’m buying it anyway.”
If I were younger, and as careless with money as I was then, my order would already be in, even though I’d have absolutely no use for even the lower powered version whatsoever.
And if you are like the version of me described above, you likely have no use for it either.
