There are advantages to power and wealth in commerce as well as in government, but we need limits.
Unfortunately, once someone has the power to make rules, they have the power to exempt themselves. We’ve never yet found a way around that catch-22.
Perhaps we invented gods to be the power that could curb abuse of power. It’s a shame the gods are not real.
