There’s a question lurking here. Are humans warlike or are *some* humans warlike, and if that’s true, is warlike genetic, learned, or both?

If there is a genetic of environmental component, it’s easy to imagine a society which would want to encourage those traits.

Disappointingly, it’s harder to imagine a society that would prefer the other.
