I have a non-boosted story this month with 10,200 reads (so appx 1/10th of yours), 723 clappers, 60 highlighters, and 244 responders. It has earned $413.

If we multiply that by 10 (to match your reads, it might have earned $4,000. But because of the Boost, yours earned $19,000.

Of course, other factors come into play: how many reads were Friend of Medium, how long did readers linger (sex probably got more dwell time)? But still, $19k vs $4k, big, big difference.
