Top Writer Emeritus: We Welcome the Scribblings of Ustabees
I already have reached my publication quota, but somebody needs to do this
A couple of times I noticed that I was a Top Writer, once in Health and once in Technology. I remember thinking the Health one was really odd because I hadn’t written much in that area. Turns out, I was writing about tech that has to do with Health. Go figure.
But accidental trophies are still trophies, right?
Yesterday’s gone
I just checked. I’m nothing anywhere right now. If I remember correctly, the Health status lasted a little longer than the Technology, but neither lasted very long.
I’m a Ustabee. Unlike the trophies you, but not I, received for kicking or throwing a ball, Medium rescinds its trophies. Yesterday’s hero, today’s zero.
Suck it up. Stay on top or be forgotten like me.
Point of Pride
People do seem to get very proud about that. I mean, people get proud of obtaining that status, not losing it like I and many others have. Strange to value such an ephemeral prize, isn’t it?
