We are not Jewish (well, I do have a Jewish ancestor of some fame known as Crazy Judah - Google him). We lived in a very Jewish town in a very Orthodox neighborhood.

Our oldest daughter babysat for an Orthodox neighbor. The sweet little girl asked to be read a story, her very favorite story, in fact.

It was in Hebrew. My poor daughter felt so sad that she could not oblige. The parents got a chuckle out of that when they came home.
