We don’t have any public transport that isn’t miles from our house and that’s a train. We take it for many of my wife’s doctor’s visits, but some of them aren’t near the train station or any subway.
We had one of those this week. I refuse to drive in Boston now, so we took the train an Ubers. Cost me $80 total. NOT CHEAP.
There aren’t even Ubers where we live. My main problem is my wife and her doctor visits. I believe that if not for her, I could get by without a car for most things, though I wouldn’t be able to visit my daughter and I couldn’t even get to our rec center in bad weather.
It doesn’t work in the boonies, Tessa.
