Well, I will not follow someone who has only claps and comments.

I will look at anyone who claps, responds, or follows me. If they have at least two recent stories, I will read two or more of them and decide whether I want to follow them. I don’t follow if they only write about subjects I have no interest in reading about.

I will look at responses on things I read from people I follow or stories I see on the front page. If the comment is intelligent, I’ll go look at their profile and decide as I explained above.

I do not expect or care that someone follows me because I followed them. I may follow a passionate writer because I am interested in their passion, but if I never write about it myself, why would they follow me?
