When I was young, I thought money was the goal.

Luckily, I soon realized that accumulating wealth would require moral trade offs I did not want to make.

I pursued happiness instead. I pursued leisure time, knowledge, friends, and health. None of that is any easier than wealth, but it’s a much better way to live.

Yes, you can’t do that without some money, but the more happiness, the less you need.

Seek joy, not money.
