Why Aren’t You Making More Money From Medium?
Maybe you are doing better than you think?
Are you making as much money here as you should here at Medium? What might you expect to make?
I do not know.
I’m going to share what I earn here. I know talking about money is a taboo for many, but it’s not for me. Most of the people who do share earnings are the big people. Some of them lie because they are trying to sell you “secrets”. Some of them do it in hopes of gaining more readers — they must be worth reading because they make so much money.
Ayup, maybe so. But maybe you want to know more about the smaller people like me. Maybe you aren’t trying to earn a living here but would like to have some idea about what others get.
So, let’s dive in.
These things are hard to compare because you and I probably write about different things. You may have fewer followers or more, and they could be more or less real than mine. Those things matter, but raw numbers give some information.

Email subscribers likely are more important than follower counts. I have 66 at this moment.
