Why Aren’t You Using Control Center?
The shortest shortcut of all
I am a big fan of I*OS Quick Notes. This is a somewhat new feature that originally let you swipe up from the lower right corner of an iPad to access a Note that could either be new or something previously worked on.
That swipe went away with Stage Manager on the iPad. Yuck!
However, I noticed that Quick Notes can be added to Control Center, and the top right Down-Swipe for Control Center still works with Stage Manager active. Yay!
Then, wonder of wonders, Apple added Quick Notes to IOS 16. Yay! There’s no Stage Manager there because there’s no room for that on a phone, but they strangely left out the lower right swipe for Quick Notes. Fortunately, Quick Notes can be put into Control Center, so Yay!
Note: if a Yuck quickly followed by two Yays disconcerts you, I apologize. Blame Apple, not me. They control the emotions of Apple Fan Boys.
But then…
I mentioned this to my wife and got a blank stare in response. To my utter horror, I realized that she does not use Control Center!
