Yeah, I can see that. I'm at the point where my older stories return $3-$4 a day in total. Extrapolate that out with a small growth rate and it could get to ten times that *eventually*.

That's "could" and it requires that I keep turning out new things that people will read, that my readers aren't lured away by someone they like better, and that Medium survives.

Reality is likely to be very different with me burning out and sliding downward instead.

My own personal history tells me that a good run can disappear almost overnight. My tech site nosedived when Google changed its algorithm. Other writing sites I was doing well on went out of business.

Julie shouldn't count on that lasting forever. It might, but she shouldn't count on it.
