Yeah. Though I learned something interesting yesterday.
My wife struggles to write texts and emails. She has a bit of OCD in this area, going over and over her composition, changing it again and again. She also tends to write far too much even when there really isn’t much she needs to say.
All this means she can spend hours on something you or I would do in two or three minutes.
Yesterday, I introduced her to ChatGPT 4o. My thought and suggestion to her a lot that she could use it to condense, check for grammatical errors, spelling, and so on. I also explained that she could use it to ask almost any question that she would otherwise ask me— like “ What is the date six weeks from today?”
She loved it. I’m not sure it saved any time because she kept redoing things, but she did use ChatGPT to compose some messages and to look up some things she was curious about.
While those particular rewriting abilities of ChatGPT are not particularly important to me, they are quite important to her. So while I might think “Siri, write an email about …” is not a useful function, it would be for her and perhaps many other people.
Anyway, I cannot wait for June 10 😊
