Years ago, I spilled milk on the keyboard of my beloved Intel MacBook. I washed it with filtered water immediately and it did work for a while but then a group of keys failed.

I was still able to use Cntrl-C and Cntrl-V so I had the dead letters in a note on my desktop and would copy and paste when I needed them. I did that for a few weeks and then bought an external keyboard which I used until I bought my next Mac.
