You are wrong. Typos do matter.

Typos slow down my reading and that of anyone who can read quickly.

I point them out in private notes under the assumption that the author might care about their readers. I wish more people would point out mine; I hate it when I notice a typo in something I wrote months or years ago.

BTW, most of us who read quickly don't even notice your gender. That's not why we read.
