You’d be right
I’m a Boomer, born in 1948 in the state of Massachusetts and have lived here ever since. Married in 1967, two great children. Worked for myself as a computer troubleshooter most of my life. These admissions may make you assume certain things about me.
You might be wrong.
Politics
I’m a strong liberal, most definitely not centrist. I think patriotism is blind, that we should have a UBI, universal health care, and remove the influence of money from politics. The heavily wealthy should be heavily taxed, we shouldn’t finance education with property taxes because it damages poor communities, and higher education should always be free.
Our court system is asinine. The wealthy have extreme power in our justice system; the poor have little to none.
For-profit prisons are insane, prisons in general should stress rehabilitation over punishment, drug use should be a medical issue, and fines should always be relative to a person’s wealth.
It is far beyond shameful that we have any poverty in my country.
